Samantha Connell
I was the Outlook Editor for The Tiger, the newspaper at Clemson University, for several semesters. I accepted this position in May 2019 and loved every moment. I created and released storyboards each week, directed my staff writers down the proper path, edited articles and made sure the section ran smoothly. In addition, I wrote and published my own articles. Although I love writing, I spent most of my time leading my section writers and making final edits. Before my promotion, I was the Assistant Outlook Editor. In this position, I wrote articles each week, reviewed outside submissions and edited articles. My first semester on staff with The Tiger was Fall 2018.

I was also on the Promotions Committee for The Chronicle, the literary magazine at Clemson. I recruited students to submit their art and text, promoted magazine releases on campus and looked over the final product before release. Although I had to leave due to time restraints, I enjoyed my position on the magazine.
